Estonian Soldier Decorated with U.S. Bronze Star

Senior Master Sergeant Hillar Pliiats, a member of the Estonian Defense Forces since 1997, was awarded the U.S. Bronze Star Medal on June 28th by Major General Byron Bagby, Operations Director of Allied Joint Forces Command (JFC), Brunssum, Netherlands.

Senior Master Sergeant Hillar Pliiats, a member of the Estonian Defense Forces since 1997, was awarded the U.S. Bronze Star Medal on June 28th by Major General Byron Bagby, Operations Director of Allied Joint Forces Command (JFC), Brunssum, Netherlands.

In awarding the medal, Major General Bagby remarked that ” Senior Master Sergeant Pliiats has made an outstanding contribution to the success of the Iraqi Freedom operation. His acts are in the best military tradition and are a credit to him, to the Iraqi International Corps and the Estonian land forces.”
