Estonia in NATO

Estonia joined NATO on April the 2nd 2004. This year, Estonia contributes to NATO-led missions with 336 troops, which is one of the biggest contributors per capita. Estonian troops are deployed to Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Estonia has proven its reliability and competence in cyber defence, a symbol of which is the Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), founded in Tallinn in 2008. On October 28th 2008, the North-Atlantic Council granted CCDCOE full NATO accreditation and CCDCOE obtained the status of International Military Organization.
