Public opinion polls on national defence have been conducted by the Estonian Ministry of Defence since 2001. Normally, polls take place at six month intervals.
The polls are to a large extend redacted by Juhan Kivirähk, a sociologist at the International Center for Defence Studies, who has nearly 20 years of experience in conducting public opinion polls.
The results of these surveys reflect on the habits, opinions and beliefs of the Estonian public on national defence, international operations, NATO as well as potential threats and conflicts.
