Next week, Admiral James Stavridis, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, will turn over both of his Commands- U.S. European Command and Allied Command Operations, NATO
In the coming week, Admiral James Stavridis, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, will turn over both of his Commands- U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany and Allied Command Operations, NATO, in Mons, Belgium. In his final blog he outlines the success and challenges he has experienced and also expresses his deepest thanks to the men and women of NATO and EUCOM who have made the missions successful. He also passes along some suggestions for the General Phil Breedlove, some of which are to keep Cyber at the top of his list of priorities, to keep a close eye on NATO’s south-eastern border and to be ready on Syria if called upon, to find ways to cooperate with Russia, especially in the High North, to encourage robust NATO member defence spending levels and to meet 2% as pledged.
